In November 2021 we decided as a family we wanted to take action, within our home and our business, against climate change. As a young family this is a topic we often talk about, our two young children are very passionate about this subject and it got us thinking about how we can give back as a family and as a business.
We made the decision to partner with Ecologi to become a Climate Positive Workforce in addition to planting one tree for every order placed on our website.
Who are Ecologi?
Ecologi are an environmental organisation who facilitate the funding of carbon offsetting projects and tree planting around the world. Their mission is to reduce 50% of global CO2 by 2040 and responsibly plant billions of trees every year.
What is a climate positive workforce?
Every member of our workforce is climate positive. This means that we offset their entire carbon footprint, including emissions from their home, personal travel, holidays, food, hobbies, business travel and more. The funding we provide for each member of our workforce is used every month to plant trees in our company forest, as well as financing carbon reduction projects around the world.
What is our goal?
As a family business, we have set ourselves the goal of planting 100,000 trees by 2040. This is a an absolutely colossal challenge but we are determined to make it happen! A forest of 100,000 trees would be big enough to see from space!
Is planting trees enough?
No. This is why we have chosen to partner with Ecologi as their funding facilitates a number of carbon offsetting projects in addition to planting trees.
